Short Bio
Luis Delgado was born in Barcelona and is an Aeronautical engineer from the National School for Civil Aviation (École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile, ENAC) located in Toulouse (France). He also holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Barcelona School of Informatics (Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona, FIB) which belongs to the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya,UPC). Mr. Delgado worked with UPC from 2007 to 2013, being an assistant professor at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC).

Joshua Tristancho was born in Palma de Mallorca and is a Technical Aeronautical Engineer from the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC). which belongs to the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya,UPC). He also holds a Master in Aerospace Science and Technology by the UPC. Mr. Tristancho has been working with UPC since 2006 and currently, he is a lecturer at EETAC.
Before joining ICARUS he worked as a technician in Air Europa for 4 years in the hangar of Globalia Mantenimiento (Palma de Mallorca). During the period 2004-2006 he worked as engineer in ENWESA in the field of nuclear power plants. Currently he is involved in the Google Lunar X-Prize (GLXP) in order to put a ball-like rover on the Moon. Currently he is one of the leaders of the Team FREDNET contestant for the GLXP.

Jorge Ramírez was born in Barcelona and is an Aeronautical Engineer from the National School for Civil Aviation (École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile, ENAC) located in Toulouse (France). Mr. Ramírez has been working with UPC as a lecturer at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC) from 2007 to 2011. He is now finishing his PhD dissertation.
Before joining UPC Mr. Ramírez was a software engineer at GMV during the 2000-2002 period and worked on the operational implementation of the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS). During the period 2002-2007 he worked as system engineer at EADS-CASA focusing its efforts on the interoperability assessment of tactical datalink systems in different projects as the european airlifter A400M the british tanker FSTA or the australian MRTT.

Oscar Torres is a Telecommunications Engineer from Telecom Barcelona (Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Telecomunicació de Barcelona, ETSETB), which belongs to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC). Currently he is a Master in Aerospace Science & Technology candidate at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC), from the same university. Mr. Torres is pursuing his Master Thesis with ICARUS, which is related with the development of a monitoring system for flying aerial survey trajectories. Eduard Santamaria was born in San Pere Pescador in 1974 and is an Computer Science Engineer from the Barcelona School of Informatics (Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona, FIB) which belongs to the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, UPC). He also holds a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the same university. Dr. Santamaria has been working with UPC since 2000 and currently, he is an associate professor at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC).

Juan Manuel Lema was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1985 and is a Tecnical Telecommunications Engineer from the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC), which belongs to the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, UPC). He also holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering and Management from the EETAC. Mr. Lema began his collaboration with the ICARUS group in January 2007, when he did his final degree project. From 2007 to 2010 he worked in the group as a part time junior researcher.

Julio Sagardoy was born in Barcelona in 1987 and is a Telecommunications Engineer from the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicació i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC), which belongs to the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, UPC). Mr. Sagardoy did his final degree project in ICARUS in 2008 and worked in the group as a junior researcher until 2010.
